Ah.  


Well…

At first it was simply
going to be a ‘swipe file’ of sorts.
I decided to gather as many of my past sales letters as possible into a ‘Daniel Throssell sales letter swipe file’ for those who wanted to study it. 

So I spent a few hours searching my hard drive … and compiling as many sales letters as I could find that weren’t covered by NDAs or that I didn’t have the rights to share. 

The final list was impressively long — nearly three dozen! — and included a LOT of stuff you’ve probably never seen:  

  • The sales letter from my epic “Last Ever Sale” letter in 2021 that grossed $200,000 in 4 days
  • An unfinished long-form sales letter I wrote for a friend’s fantasy sports service 
  • A John Carlton-style direct-mail sales letter I wrote for my dad’s security business 
  • A sales letter I used to sell my freelance copywriting services (I directed Google ads to this page and actually got some very high-value leads) 
  • The letter I wrote for a classified ad to Ben Settle’s email list in 2020, that launched my current business 
  • My first ever sales letter, that won Ramit Sethi’s copywriting contest 
  • A long-form sales letter I wrote for a Japanese language learning product I wanted to create (I still think this is one of the best letters I’ve ever written — and I wrote it in 2016!) 
  • Several hard-to-find sales letters for now private or retired Persuasive Page offers 
  • And quite a few more.

My sales letters are genuinely fresh & creative. I do NOT write to a template, ever. And so almost every one is different, and there’s something new you can learn from it.   


And so…   


I was planning to release JUST that ‘swipe file’, as its own product.

And then
I had a brainwave:
For years I’ve had this idea of doing this course on writing sales letters.  

(I mean yes, I have $10,000/Hour Sales Page Secrets. But that course is a) almost impossible to get and b) is focused around just 10 high-level insights into writing sales copy. It is NOT comprehensive by any means, and I say that openly.)  

Anyway.  

I wanted something for about $500 to $1,000 … that would complement my other ‘flagship’ courses nicely … and fill the gap around ‘sales letters’ that exists in my product line. 


And because I’ve been expecting to make this course for years…   

I’ve accumulated several hours of training content I have created in preparation for this course. Both breakdowns (where I analyse sales letters I’ve written), and actual live writes (recording myself writing them and giving commentary as I go).   

But it’s been a few years…   

And I’ve still NEVER made that course…   

And all this stuff just been sitting there … on my hard drive … idle and unwatched.   

And I came to a realisation:

So I figured…   

Why not just toss the stuff I made for it in with the swipe file … and create one super-resource for sales letters?   

I mean, it wouldn’t really be as organised as I like my products to be. 


And there wouldn’t be a “step by step system” for writing sales letters inside … because, well … I don’t even follow such a system myself, so I’m not even sure how I’d teach one.   

So students would have to learn the same way I learned copywriting from my mentor, Scott Pape … by my just watching as he wrote, and learning & absorbing what he did and said.
